just wanted to let you know, i put a handful of new necklaces in the shop as well as a handful of tops. if you're interested you can find them all HERE.
i've got a new website up and running. it's definitely a work in progress, but now you can find enhabiten HERE.
you may want to check out this video of my friend, painter rick beerhorst. i got to finally meet the beerhorst family when i was out in grand rapids and i pretty much love them- the kind of new friends who feel like old old friends.
some gems here like this one about being an artist and paying attention:
"i think often you're so limited...first, you can't have your own way, often things fall down. but second, we're so limited by our cultural beliefs that are so boring, like how we aestheticize things..what you think is a good song or what art should look like...that's always getting in our way of being really present to the possibilities of a situation...random chance or random circumstances give you things that you are not capable of getting to with your own limitations but you can be capable of recognizing that you're being given something and take advantage of and incorporate that into yourself.""
"Reverence for the visible world is not in opposition to the invisible one; in the same way that it is through the body we access the life of the spirit. Remembering we are "bees of the invisible," sweetens the suffering and even cheats death of its ultimate sting. We are saved by the very idea of a back and forth, between a Here and There. Bodies are like poems that way, only a fraction of their power resides in the skin of things. The remainder belongs to the spirit that swims through them." Yahia Lababidi
and i've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to photograph a pair of grape-y colored scarves (darker than the one pictured up there) to add as well, no luck. i got stubborn about it and had four different photo sessions trying to force it into be. the color kept showing blue.
i'll try again tomorrow. meanwhile, here's what the garden looks like now-
everyday we've been roasting and drying and eating tomatoes.
